About MusicWorks Concerts
MusicWorks has been bringing artists and music lovers together for over a decade. Our mission is to cultivate an experience for our community that allows them to travel back in time when music played a powerful role in their lives. The artists we hand-select play music that ignites our nostalgia and keeps us singing and dancing in the aisles.
Our founder, Rusty Young, envisioned bringing his love of live music to people everywhere, enabling them to relive some of the greatest moments of their lives. He excelled at matching A-list artists and exceptional tribute shows to audiences eager to attend live performances. We continue that tradition, seeking to carry on Rusty’s legacy by bringing MusicWorks into the future with more great artists and tributes from the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
"I promised myself I would change careers and do something that mattered to me and would make a difference. I also wanted to have some fun. I always had an interest in live music and entertainment. I decided to turn that into a vocation not just an allocation."
- Rusty Young
"It's a great world where people can get together and have a night of fun and music and nothing but fun and music"
- Max Yasgur

In this capacity, he took the Foundation through all stages of early development and successfully built relationships in the corporate, entertainment and philanthropic industries. While at the Foundation, he produced and promoted numerous benefit concerts for the Theatre and for other local and national nonprofits. He used music and benefit concerts to raise the $15 million needed to complete an historic renovation of the Theatre.
